Assam tea is produced in the Assam province of India from the tea plant variety Camellia sinensis var. assamica. This black tea gives a red-brown infusion and a lively, slightly sweet, strong taste. Because it contains a lot of theine, it can be a good morning tea or a warm companion during study, work, or long evenings.
The grade TGFOP1 stands for Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe First Grade, a quality label often used for teas from Assam and Darjeeling.

Black tea. Origin: Assam, India.
Preparation
Use 1 teaspoon of tea, approximately 2g, for a 2 dl cup. Pour over water at 100°C and steep for 3-5 minutes, then strain.
The tea can be infused up to three times. For the second and third infusion, keep the correct water temperature and extend the steeping time. Avoid steeping for too long, as the tea may become more bitter.
Milk may be added to black tea, although it is not necessary. Some people prefer it because milk softens the natural acidity of black tea.
