This tea is a specialty among Chinese teas. Although it is placed in the white tea category, Ya Bao is described as unique enough to sit between traditional white and green teas. It comes from the Jingmai region of Yunnan, China, where the tea trees grow at an altitude of 1,500 m.

The tops are harvested only once a year, at the beginning of March, and then dried in the sun. This careful seasonal harvesting gives Ya Bao its rare and distinctive profile.

Taste & Aroma

Chinese tea. Origin: China.

Preparation

Use 1 teaspoon of tea, approximately 2g, for a 2 dl teacup. Pour over water that has boiled and cooled to 70°C. Steep for 2 minutes, then strain. The tea can be infused up to three times. For the second and third infusion, keep the water temperature controlled and extend the steeping time.

For cold preparation, use 1 teaspoon per 2 dl of cold water. Leave the tea in the water for 2-3 hours, then strain.
